Welcome to Wildlife Studio

Wildlife Studio

Located 22 miles south of San Francisco, in Montara, Wildlife Studio is a non-profit studio designed to play a small part in enhancing the quality of music all of us hear every day by offering musicians the opportunity to take their time to record in a relaxed, comfortable environment within five minutes walking distance from the beach.  The studio, equipped with four state-of-the-art mic pre-amps, offers the capability of recording in analog onto a 2-inch 24-track tape machine or in digital using ProTools, and of transferring from analog to digital while preserving the quality of the analog sound.

The studio space is divided into three acoustically treated rooms: a control room, an iso/vocal booth, and a larger recording room with an upright piano.  For more detailed info on the recording equipment, please check the Equipment List.  The studio rate is $200/day, recording time and engineering included.  The studio can provide skilled Engineers to assist your project.  If you have your own engineer, the rate is $100 for an initial half-day orientation with one of the regular studio engineers.  You’re welcome to visit the studio before booking time. If you would like to schedule studio time, you can book online.
